First Glances – Great Park Avenue
Swedens Great Park Avenue have ‘set their sights of revitalising the Swedish Indie scene’. I hadn’t been aware it was ailing to be honest. Yet this new act does have all the makings of a classic Nordic alt rock.
This is indie, meets Britpop, meets C86 jangle pop. Sparser than Kent. kinkier than The Concretes and edgier than Radio Dept. They could go far.
They’re just starting out.
The single ‘Blue World’ is out now. A melancholic journey through adolescence, indeed. With an EP and album to follow we think these are ones to watch;
