Preview – The Boxer Rebellion – in concert, Belgium
[sic] faves The Boxer Rebellion return to Belgium in just over a week for two dates punctuated by trips to Lille, Paris and Amsterdam’s legendary Paradiso – a venue made famous by the likes of Joy Division and The Sound .
More than anyone around today, The Boxer Rebellion continue the legacy of those two great bands earning them our Editors pick as Album of the year for their against the odds , 2009 triumph, Union. Now, industry rumour is rife that Union isn’t the bands masterpiece. Their as yet unreleased follow-up looks set to be both critical and commercial breakthrough. [sic] readers, naturally, were well ahead of the game, some having loved the band since 2005. So believe me when I say, this could be one last chance to catch the band in an intimate setting.
Brussels AB Club – Tuesday 9th Nov
Mons Lotto – Friday 12th Nov
Deciding which to attend was easy for me. I’ll be at both. See you there, maybe? Act fast though. Tickets are flying away. The AB might well already be a sell-out. Mons certainly offers a better chance.
