First Glances – Through The Sparks
Not a new band, but new to [sic] Magazine, Through The Sparks hail from Alabama and deal in “basement-baroque, mid-fi psychedelia”. You just gotta love that, which I did when reviewing the band’s early 6 track, Coin Toss , for friend magazine Evilsponge.
These days Jody Nelson and the gang seem intent on doing a ‘Wedding Present’ and issuing a different EP every day for a whole millennium, or something. The latest is Alamalibu from which the track ‘Angel Fix’ has been selected below for your videoscopic delight.
