It is with great excitement and anticipation that we can reveal to you details of the release of our second album. Way back in December we reported back on a successful recording session and since then we have put the finishing touches to an album we are proud to let out into the big wide world. We didn’t anticipate for it to take such a long time, and we fully appreciate your patience!
The record is called ‘He Who Saw the Deep’.
Now this is the important part. We can’t do this without you.
With the new album comes a new approach to releasing it. The record will be released on our own record label called ILR. In order to make this a reality we have set up a project on a website called Pledge. This is an exclusive opportunity not only to get your hands on our album before it hits the shops, but also a plethora of other iLT goodies. These range from album artwork posters, lyric books, guitar lessons and vinyl only box sets. For a complete list of what we’re offering you, take a look around our Pledge page.
We have set a target for the money we require to set up the label, master, manufacture and market the record. No money exchanges hands until the target is met. Simple.
In other less exciting news, Simon has broken his leg. We will be drafting in a last minute replacement drummer for our Rock Herk festival show on the 17th of July. Details here www.rockherk.be.
Get well soon Mr Fogal.
You can pledge support here, if you are so inclined (some interesting things on offer for various pledge amounts): http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/iliketrains
I'm likely to go for the album. I've heard one track (When We Were Kings), not quite as engaging as some of their earlier work, obviously can't judge the whole album based on that, but I'd still pay to help get the album up and running. ![]()

Loved the early stuff but thought the full album was poor. They've only got one song, haven't they?

You wanna ask them for a review copy GW? Or want me to? Get some early buzz.

Well, that email was just sent out to all web subscribers on their mailing list, so if I asked it would be (I guess) a cold contact - but I'm willing to try.
If you have a better chance than me, and I presume you would lol, by all means ask away. ![]()

Well, I pledged for the album - dropped in a line re: [sic] just in case; whether or not they respond remains to be seen. ![]()

Ahhh, so did I, with their management. & got a response. I expect to get the download link, which I'll forward, but I suppose you'll have this anyway now?
Offline
Nah, I think the download will be made available to pledgers to coincide with the official release, which is fair enough (less chance of leaking etc). The only thing I can access at the moment is the live vids, which has a couple of tracks from the new album. They might not even see my note, anyway, as I just added it in the little extra info box when I was going through the pledge process and I have no idea if that gets flagged or not, or whether they just collect names/details.

Yep, you're right, the pledge money is needed for mastering so there is no review copy yet. I have access to three songs and I'll probably do a quick feature on the pledge thing. 40 days remain so it might help them a bit. Then we'll review it later.

The album download activated today. You want I should review it, or give it to someone that didn't actually pay for it? ![]()

I'd say take it on GW. Brett always has a large pile to get through. You're more than up to the task.

Only if you wish to.

Yeah, I'm happy to take it on, I just don't want to step on anyone's toes, just in case someone else wanted to do it or whatever, since I have the album regardless. ![]()

I'm interested in what you think.

It took a few listens, but thoughts are forming pretty quick on this one, so I should have it ready soon. ![]()
