RIP Smiley Culture
1963 – 2011
Very sad and disappointing news this week as it was reported that British reggae singer, Smiley Culture (Real name David Victor Emmanuel) died following a Police Raid on his home in Surrey. Emmanual’s death is being reported as “suspicious” after Officers claimed the singer stabbed himself with a kitchen knife during the search.
Smiley Culture had hits in the eighties with songs such as ‘Police Officer’ and ‘Cockney Translation’. Our thoughts are with family and friends.
